running a headline that celebrates how chicagoans are fighting back. and j.b. pritzker is throwing his weight behind prosecuting law enforcement. >> i don't trust at all that the trump administration is going to hold any of these people responsible. we will. we are going to call for accountability. and the tables will turn someday. these people should recognize that maybe they are not going to get prosecuted today, although we are looking at doing that, but today may get prosecuted after their trump administration, for the things they did because of the statute limitations will not have run out. >> greg: but says to beautiful black women in chicago are looking for the guard. >> a short period of time 4,000 murders in chicago and we have to listen to this man stand up and say we are bad people. and the people of chicago walking around with maga hats. you have beautiful black women walking around with maga hats. please let the president in and we don't care how he does it. these are great cities that can be fixed.

to keep illegals here and the other party doesn't. we have not seen -- even during covid, we all kind of agreed that covid need to do it go away. this we have not seen. we have seen it like many confederacies. and we see a welfare state in the middle of california, so you can break into the country and you can live for free and l.a. now? is that what we are doing? live for free nla illegally? and the other guy in chicago says he wants to go after i.c.e., if you pull immunity, then it's dangerous pair that means we can go after you, because you have blood on your hands. if someone dies from an illegal and a sanctuary city, you go after the mayor for wrongful death. you hit him civilly for millions of dollars. barack obama tried to do this with the cia agents and thankfully he didn't ant and they did things to detainees a lot worse than what i.c.e. is doing to people. i.c.e. is doing what?

the law enforcement officers, they need to have confidence that the system is going to have their back. that's one of the problems they have here. this qualified immunity thing is a problem in new york city. that's why the cops are like, i don't know if i am going to -- should i actually intervene here? or should i step back? this happened during the george bunt george floyd to protest, when everyone said defund the police. so you have a slippery slope in california they are on track to finish rebuilding the pacific palisades in four years, but this is the emergency they are worried about. in 40 years they have not laid a single track of high-speed rail that they want to spend $25 million on this. i do wonder at what point they are going to realize they are not winning, there is only one way to try to solve this, which is to take president trump up on his offer to meet. meats, convene, and see -- if you have a better idea on how to smooth out this system so that people who want to come here legally and operate under our

only seeing anecdotal evidence of this, but some of the cruelty of these apprehensions can bother people. but this is not the answer to it. i think dana, you raise to the right point. it still eludes me why, and bothers me why the governors and mayors and city of said object to the way i.c.e., for that matter, federal agents in their city, why they don't ask the president for a meeting. why don't they seek opportunity to say, how can we find some common ground here? because mr. president, you said we were going to arrest the violent ones first and get them out of here, but now that we are seemingly passed some of that and involving other people, how can we do this the right way? they may not agree, but this back and forth that we see, and now this ridiculous public policy proclamation from l.a. county went to your point about the housing situation in the palisades. not only that, the education challenges, housing challenges for everyday angelenos is not the answer to the question.

i give you credit for trying to come up with one, but you should shelve this one i get to the white house to figure out a longer-term solution. >> greg: they have a lot of problems, katie. do you think that's what you are seeing -- it's hard to gauge what is cruel and what is not, because the democrats have destroyed the language. everything is cruel. everything is a kidnapping. >> katie: when they won't condemn real kidnapping. >> greg: yeah. >> katie: politically and make sense that national democrats are ones who want to be president would not disarm by saying you are right about crime, no one wants crime. we will work with you. and then the talking point in all of these press conferences t9 has don't have the same political impact they would. but you have the people like the governor of illinois who is willing to prosecute i.c.e. agents for taking out foreign criminals and gang bangers from his community's but not willing to prosecute people who are wreaking havoc on the city of chicago in those communities.

not the cartels that have been operating in the cities for years and years and years. when it comes to the things they are talking about. they use the language you mention about taking people from job sites. kidnapping them, no, they are taking people from jobsites where they are trafficking children, they are trafficking women, they are selling drugs, they are engaged in cartel activity and they are doing it in these places where we have been told for years, they are just going to make an honest living. we know that's not the truth. one of the biggest lessons of the whole thing is that the myth that illegal immigrants don't commit crimes has been completely blown out of the water. they have these stats every single week about who they are resting, what kind of crimes they are committing. and it's not just in chicago. it's in new york city. it's in california. it's in small towns across the country. and cartels have been running cities and counties and towns for years and the federal government has finally now coming into clean it up, and the best that someone like pritzker can do is i am going to

something fun and productive. you get what you pay for. but in new some towers or whatever you call it, the service sucks. no when their works. you are trying to find someone at the counter and no one is there. it's just like you never get what you paid for over in gavin newsom's resort. so it's a stark choice between facade and substance. reality and fantasy and i think that's why democrats have to indulge these delusions. because the reality is too much to bear. >> dana: and harold, the first step on getting better at anything is admitting you have a problem. but they have only gone half a step. because they say we are historically unpopular but not the next half of step which is to say we did it to ourselves. >> harold: i think you are right, and when parties have found themselves at this moment. democrats, this is not the first time the political party finds themselves kind of self-loathing and trying to figure out where they go and the next steps are.

we have to have answers. we need less apologizing and loathing, and more offering of new things. you think where we are. the government to shut down, ai is enabling inefficiencies but will displace a lot of workers and how we will create new jobs going forward. our schools are not working. and katie, you mention the democrats should be welcoming people to their communities as we try to fight crime. they should, but we need a crime bill. greg and i talked about this yesterday. president trump has been in office, we have yet to catch this bill, federal funds out to the cities and make them cash the bill in exchange for more money to hire cops and prosecutors and so forth. democrats, these are the answers we should provide. the moping and to bed going on podcasts and saying the same old thing is not resonating with voters or winning voters to the side. >> dana: and part of the reason is they are often on the other side of the issues, or as

donald trump says 97/3 issues they are on the wrong side. >> katie: if it is an 80/20 issue, it's safe to be on the side of the 20, but they are so focused on trump, they can't get themselves out of it. and the saying you can't beat them, join them, he is beating them on everything. crime, deportation, the government shutdown which republicans historically always loose about the government shutdown. democrats could open the government tomorrow and work on a crime bill, they can't do that because they don't want to fund the government. >> harold: so could you. >> katie: republicans are devoted for a clean cr in the senate. and democrats are focused on the wrong guy. trump is not running for reelection purity is done in 2028 and democrats go after him. presidential hopefuls like gavin newsom can't get over the fact that he just needs to come up with his own ideas and can just copy trump for everything he does. and they are not authentic. or putting out anything original. and for gavin newsom to sit there and scoff at someone like

joe rogan who the left is trying to find their own. they had one not only left the democratic party but also california along with a lot of his rich friends and they are still people leaving california, so they have to come up with different ideas that are helpful to their constituents rather than constantly fighting one who was now running for reelection. >> dana: i want california to be great. i lived in san diego for three years. but i would love to visit and enjoy. jesse is her name. many large companies have decided to leave specifically because of gavin's policies. and oracle, charles schwab, and chevron very explicit in saying it was governor newsom's policy is that took them out. >> jesse: he is still a threat and will probably get the nomination and lie his way to the top. he is rich and tall and has a nice looking family and lives very effectively. >> harold: sounds like someone else i know. >> jesse: me? but he is always coming across as a little less crazy than the rest of the democrats, and that's where his threat is.

14 years ago, i was on a training mission. did a military freefall, and i had some faulty equipment. i hit the ground. going, 30 to 40 knots and was instantly paralyzed. i met jack fanning when he invited us to park city, utah, through his foundation. i was able to actually get on the mountain and ski with my family, i can't put into words what that meant. i got paid in the military to do crazy fun stuff. and after my accident, i'm still that same guy. and when i was able to jump out of a perfectly good, helicopter, at 10,000 feet, i did it. i was talking to some vets last week amazing how we have these houses where they can come over because they■re in chairs too. carpet and wheelchairs don't mix very well. tunnel to towers, they got rid of all that. they redid my whole bathroom. that's probably the favorite part of my house. i thought they were just going to do the upgrades.

[laughter] >> harold: what a segway. in fairness to them. if you are married to rfk jr. and you go on a show, you're probably going to get questions about it. i thought, i did not see the whole thing and i don't -- i want my spouse to defend me and i thought she did a really rigorous job as dana said in defending her husband. i think some of the things that rfk jr. is doing around food and some of the awareness he is giving us, raising awareness about the harm of pesticides causing including increases and parkinson's occurring incidents in the country, these are things that a lot of people were hoping he would draw attention to. i find difficulty in some of the things he has recommended around the health stuff. if they wanted to ask her those questions i would be more pointed about it. and the urgency of the issue for me with what i disagree wholeheartedly with right now
